ICBC provides the facility to transfer funds to any bank account all across Pakistan on a real-time basis through Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS)/PRISM

-- What is RTGS System?
RTGS stands for Real-Time Gross Settlement, which is a system that provides the facility of interbank fund transfers on a real-time basis to customers.
-- Is there any minimum/maximum amount required for RTGS transactions?
The RTGS system is primarily meant for large value transactions. The minimum amount to be remitted through RTGS is 100,000/-. There is no upper ceiling for RTGS transactions.
-- How much time is required for remitting funds transfer from one account to another under RTGS?
Under normal circumstances, the beneficiary branches are expected to receive the funds in real-time as soon as funds are transferred by the remitting bank.
-- Would the remitting customer get the money back if it is not credited to the beneficiary’s account?
Yes. In case of any discrepancy in customer’s account detail, the beneficiary bank shall make an enquiry with the originating bank, and subsequently the originating bank will provide correct details to beneficiary bank through email/PRISM with the consultation of the customer. Otherwise, the beneficiary bank shall return the customer’s transferred payment through the PRISM System to the originating bank.
-- Till what time RTGS service is available at the branches?
RTGS services are available to banks for customer’s transactions from 9am to 3pm on weekdays (Monday to Friday)

-- What is the essential information that the remitting customer would have to furnish to a bank for the remittance?
The remitting customer has to fill our remittance application form, available at our branches, to initiate an RTGS transaction.
-- Do all ICBC branches in Pakistan provide the RTGS service?
Yes. All our branches across Pakistan provide RTGS services.
